Porter Mills Show: Beasties
2026 Spring Open Studios (Apr 25) has come and gone. The group show is called Beasties - and this is what I came up with. Meet Rossetti the Yeti. She is a Yeti crab made from a Mint M&Ms package and some other cardboard laying around, as well as a lot of duct tape and heavy use of a glue gun!
Tiny Art Spree - Salem Arts Festival
The night of the most competitive form of Art Collecting you can ever participate in! Part raffle! Part roller derby! Scheme and plan to make sure you get the piece you want! Talk up the other great pieces (it’ll be easy) lie to your friends about how you don’t care which one you want! Tell your children you’re definitely picking their piece, if it’s still available. Come downtown and get your Art on!

Another Ekphrastic Thing at the Mill
The folks at Porter Mill Studios did a thing. Some people submitted a piece of artwork and another wrote a poem after being with it for an unknown period of time. I was lucky to be paired with Hannah Larrabee who wrote that poem under this photo I took while in Two Harbors Minnesota.

Tiny Art Spree - Salem Arts Festival
Salem Arts Festival had a new opening night game - the Tiny Art Spree. People turned a 5x6" box top into ... something, anything. Then folks bought a ticket, and when their number was called, they got to run up to the table and grab the art of their choice. These were my two submissions.
